5 things Friday

Yay it's Friday and I have yet another set of 5 random things to tell you about!

1. I missed writing two blogtober posts this week. Tuesday I just couldn't anymore. The idea of sitting down and writing after spending most of my day reading a MASSIVE document at work was just exhausting to think about. So I didn't. And you know what? That's okay. I didn't feel bad or guilty, hell there is literally no one policing this blogtober effort so if I miss a day, that's alright.

2. I have recently rediscovered my love of the R.L. Stine. I loved his books growing up. Not Goosebumps (though I loved the TV show) but the Fear Street Books, oh those were my jam! I just devoured those. When ever we're in Zurich I swing by the English book shop and this time they had all their Halloween stuff out. And lo and behold there was a new Fear Street book. My inner 15 year old squealed and my outer 34 year old said "TAKE MY MONEY!!!"

3. I’ve been bacheloretting it for a week now. And sure if has it’s benefits like I can have cereal for dinner and not worry about it. I get to be as grumpy first thing in the morning and not worry about hurting anyones feelings. I am currently on a train and not worried about accidentally kicking him. All that being said I miss his stupid face. I hate making my own coffee, I hate not having someone to come home to. Also because of the time difference I have to cram in everything cool that happened during the day into about a 5 to 10 minute window when he has time to contact me. While I am over the moon he is home, I’m over it. He can come home any day now.

4. I’m going to be in Geneva for a first aid course. It’s been years since I took a proper course and after having to administer first aid on London to a gentleman who was hit by a motorcycle I figured
It was time to actually refresh myself. Johnathan was suppose to take the class with me but well Canada happened. [sarcasm] So glad I booked that nice double hotel room with a view by his favourite Labenese restaurant...[/sarcasm]

5. I think I’m going to go on a solo adventure tomorrow. Maybe visit the UN (should probably visit at some point...they are technically my boss...) maybe go to the Red Cross museum. Or maybe I’ll just stand outside the Tiffany and Co with coffee and a pastry. Not sure. But I’m excited!
