What our Christmas looked like

This is what our Christmas looked like.

In the case of my family we were in three different time zones. In the case of John's were in two. My family hung out drank and my brother opened his Christmas present from my parents. It was short  but we were all together on Christmas eve and that's all that really matters.

John's family Christmas exploded on Christmas Day (when it's that many people Christmas doesn't happen...it explodes) while we watched from the sidelines. Not really involved, just there. Watching. From the sidelines and chaos ensued.

Here's the thing about expat living, life goes on at home without you. Just as your life goes on without them. But thanks to technology at least we can see life in action at home every so often.
